Overview

Ross Inspection Systems (RIS) is a full service provider of customized machine vision based, automated inspection systems. RIS builds systems that inspect products on the assembly line for the pharmaceutical, packaging, cosmetics and automotive industries. Unlike machine vision systems from well-known providers such as DVT and Cognex, RIS’s systems are able to inspect intricately shaped products made from nearly any material and are fast enough to keep up with any production line. Our primary customers are manufacturers who create products from difficult to inspect materials such as glass, rubber, plastic and metal. Our systems are based upon commercial off the shelf (COTS) hardware for reliability, lower cost and serviceability. RIS’s systems feature proprietary software that can perform 100% in-line inspection of irregularly shaped products at over 3000 parts per minute, faster than off-the-shelf vision systems can perform basic (or partial or gross) inspection tasks on products with simple shapes. Our distinguishing strengths also include customized application specific lighting and responsive after installation support to adapt the system to unexpected, but inevitable, product variation.
